New Game!
I learned a fun new party game tonight. It’s not a drinking game, but being drunk while playing it would make it even more bizarre, I suspect.
Think Pictionary meets Broken Telephone.
It’s fantastic. Each player gets a a number of sheets of paper equal to the number of players. (6 players = 6 sheets each.) To start, a player writes a phrase or object on the front sheet. Then, once everyone is done, they pass it on. The next player must then illustrate whatever is written. They put the original sheet on the bottom of the pile, and pass it on. The next player must guess what phrase the illustration is.
Rinse, repeat. Examine results at the end, hilarity ensues.
Some gems of our match tonight were two of my misinterpretations: “No, chinese people fail at circumnavigation.” came from what was originally “The grass is greener on the other side.”, while “I’m thinking of buying an orphanage from the Monopoly man.” came from “Betting on a full house.” and “I don’t believe in fairies.” became “Angels dream of UFOs.”
It was… beyond hilarious. I recommend it for your next party. Really. It’s awesome. Lack of artistic ability becomes a hilarious asset, rather than a hindrance, such as in pictionary.

Yes, bop-it is rather the ultimate party diversion. Unless you’re consuming alcohol in any large-ish quantity, wherein the rounds only ever manage to last for the or four passes. But always fun.
